funny story: after i typed “it doesn’t need to be perfect” i ripped this out of my typewriter and crumpled it up and threw it in the trash because “in order to be beautiful” didn’t fit on the same line and that’s how i had envisioned this but then i started thinking about it and about always trying to be perfect and how the pressure i put on myself to be perfect always inhibits the amount of creative work i can do so i dug it out of the trash and i kept fucking typing
